Produced by Ben Allen, eh? Could be interesting.

Had a promotional copy of this for a while. It's not a grower, unfortunately, but it has its moments (particularly Nobody's Empire).

Haven't listened, but 'Nobody's Empire' is killer. I like it more than anything off of Dear Catastrophe Waitress, which was defs their most solid album

b&s and viet cong, holy shit. i'll get on this after viet cong, because it is too fucking good. damn

Did someone alert Klap?
Not liking what I'm hearing so far, which is disappointing. =(
|
| |
bit surprised it's more than an hour long. did they prog on this?
|
| |
"pretty sure klapdar detects all indie releases"
lol
I expect this will be pleasant and I will forget all of it within a week of listening.
|

Viet Cong is so much better. Also, the new Sleater-Kinney is excellent too. B & S was pretty basic.

Well, Stuart Murdoch is a big Yes fan... It's the most experimental record they've ever done, and there are a few songs which run to six or seven minutes.

klapdar detected the leak on this last week. it's alright. some songs are sweet but a lot of them meander around. record as a whole is way too long. will probs review
|
| |
album version of Nobody's Empire sounds over-embellished.
|
| |
^good description of the album as a whole really
|
| |
