Axial Lead guitarist dies 2015-11-12 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 9 Comments | The fire that occurred at Club Colectiv on October 30 in Bucharest, Romania, continues to claim more victims. Among the latest was 28 year old Tudor Golu, a graphic designer and guitarist for progressive rock/avant-garde band Axial Lead. Golu had been in the crowd with bandmates as he had contributed graphics to Goodbye to Gravity's lyric video for "The Day We Die". After being transferred to a hospital in Birmingham, UK, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Tuesday, November 10. Vocalist Radu Damian and guitarist Christian Popescu also sustained injuries in the fire, but are thought to be in stable conditions, and are talking and eating (as of November 9).
As of November 12, 2015, the death toll from the fire stands at 54.

I know the fire has already been covered on here, but this was a good band, and it's had absolutely no coverage outside of Romania. I felt it would be right to make sure Tudor's death wasn't forgotten.
| | | Dude seriously
| | | This fire is absolutely one of the saddest things to happen in recent memory.
| | | absolutely tragic, and i fear the toll won't stop rising for a while
| | | If you have some money to spare, support the band on Bandcamp. They only released the one album and it's free, but I'm sure they'd really appreciate the support. Although outside Romania, this poor man's death has been almost entirely overlooked, which is rather depressing.

| | | Wow. Dunno where that came from. sorry for trying to support people who clearly need the money in order to pay for medical bills and funeral costs. These aren't superstar musicians, they're people who were doing it for the love of it. They didn't make money from it and have to hold down second or third jobs to make ends meet, and there's no universal healthcare in Romania which means they have to pay for their treatment. Nobody's making money from this catastrophe. And I have no idea how on earth you're expecting me to make anything out of this. I don't think these people should be forgotten. And they made good music which I think should be supported.
