Starts off alright, but HOLY SHIT that ending.

Yeah oh my god the last two minutes are intense, that breakdown... made me want to punch the wall
| |
Can;t wait for the album. Killer song!
| |
first 2 min were better than the last 2 but still good. album should be sweet
| |
Wow what a full presentation of awesome.

God I love this band. They manage to take the good elements of "djent" (god I hate that term) without sacrificing songwriting. I would just call them tech metal but those first two minutes of polyrhythmic chugging do really fall under the "djent" category, just without the cheese factor.

| |
Damn, that ending.
| |
Really looking forward to this album. All three songs released have been pretty good.
| |
well they've got me excited. wow!
this could be the best thing they've done since silhouettes.
| |
That was awesome.
| |
HOLY FUCKING SHIT!! THESE GUYS ARE BACK AND THAT SONG WAS FUCKING MASTERFUL!

Production is awesome. Guitars sound huge
| |

| |
The video is also amazing, very high quality and the shots look really cool! I really hope there are more songs like this one on Phenotype
| |
wow, this is surprisingly good. I'll have to listen to this album fr sure
| |
Really good stuff, always loved this band.
| |
Really love the obvious Mike Patton worship in the vocals.
| |
I'm sure I'll get some hate for this...but Reaching Home is by far their best song. Granted it's not anything like what they're known for and perhaps was a result of label pressure...but god damn what a beautifully crafted metal/pop/whatever song.

Can respect this song as clearly having been crafted and not sounding just like any other piece of shit. It holds my attention for that reason, but I just can't get into it, or it seems like hardly anything labeled 'technical.' 'djent' as well just really tends to bother me. good breakdown considering, but there just isn't anything to capture me about it. Seems like technicality always sacrifices the emotional vitality of the product in my opinion. But who knows, maybe another few months into my guitar career I'll get a taste for it. The vocals though too are a bit bland to me. Seems like its focusing so hard on not being called generic that I just would never feel like singing this song unless I was just trying to hear my own voice and not be embarrassed about it.

It just sounds like good old Textures to me lol
