Seven Impale release Contrapasso 2016-09-16 by bnelso55 | 4 Comments | Norwegian jazz-rock sextet Seven Impale have released Contrapasso, the follow-up to their acclaimed 2014 record City of the Sun.
Consisting of 9 new tracks that span the continuum between experimental and catchy, Contrapasso expands upon the progressive musical path explored by its predecessor and sees the band striving to take their increasingly signature approach to melody, experimentation, and rhythmic contrast one step further.
Contrapasso can be heard at Seven Impale’s official Bandcamp page and via several streaming services.

Should be good.
| | | Definitely digging this. I can absolutely hear the influence from Tigran Hamasyan and Nik Bartsch's Ronin project.
| | | Just jammed. There's some good stuff. It's a long album though. It'll take time to take it all in.
| | | In typical Seven Impale fashion, the first and last songs are the most memorable. Some weird stuff on this album.
