Verse riffs are odd as shit; but that chrous is hella In Vain.
Super mixed on this.

same, verses are eh chorus is yeh

yea heard this a few days ago, just gonna copy the comment I left: love those classic In Vain melodies, but what's with the transitions in this song? the jump from the verse riff (which sounds like a poor imitation of Extol btw) into the chorus just doesn't make sense. the middle of the song is structurally a mess too, sounds rushed. still going to check the full album when it comes out obviously, love this band.

I lol'd when the first chorus transitioned into the second verse yeah
Otherwise, I enjoyed the song. Nice art too.

Pretty dull for In Vain standards
|
| |
Idk what you guys are talking about this is In Vain as fuck
Janky ass verse riff that doesn't make sense
huge melodic passages
See: Mannefall, Culmination of the Enigma
|
| |
yea but the transitions between them are smoother than here. this has like zero flow.
|
| |
good song
|
| |
One of the weaker songs, pretty boring.
|

Glad it wasn't just me think thinking that this song is a bit all over the place. Keen to hear the new album though, really enjoyed Aenigma.
|
| |
yeh i didn't particularly like the track but it has some good sections
|
| |
Ok song. In Vain is capable of far better though.

I remember when The Latter Rain was getting a shitload of attention around here, but I still have yet to jam anything by this band.

that psychic that told my mom years ago i have a third eye is definitely right
every fucking time i listen to a band for the first time in yeeeears, they release shit the next night, its honestly getting predictable
edit: ok this was uploaded on the 17th but i swear i had no idea
|

Some of the transitions are awkward but I wouldn't call this dull (in itself or compared to their previous stuff)
