New Smile Empty Soul music 2018-05-02 by RoderickINM | 5 Comments | American post-grunge band Smile Empty Soul has released two brand new songs: "Sides" (released on April 7th) and Stars (released on April 14th), the last one being accompained with a music video. These are the first singles from their upcoming new album "Oblivion," which will be released on May 25th via MRAfia Records.
This is their first LP without longtime members Ryan Martin (bass) and Jake Kilmer (drums), and also the first one to feature new members Mark Young (bass, formerly of Hed PE) and Victor Ribas (drums, formerly of Hurt), leaving singer/guitarist Sean Danielsen as the only current original member.

Haven't listened to these guys in forever.
Tracks are just what you'd expect from a grunge band these days, but not too bad.
| | | These guys (or I guess guy now) always pump out fine, catchy albums but both songs are easily their most boring material to date. No thanks.
| | | @NewBallistics: I've thought the same at the first listen, but both songs have grown on me pretty well. I thin this will be a good album, band have been solid through their career. Easily one of the best post-grunge bands, and one of the few worth listening.
