so glad this band's back, song's pretty good
| |
dope af
| |
those drums sound absolutely terrible
| |
I've got mixed feelings. Man, I was so excited when I saw that they joined Silverstein's tour, but after hearing this song my excitement has faded away...
| |
How many times is this band going to say they're finally disbanding for real, only to reunite?
| |
Stoked as fuck
| |
when can we get that Year 1 A.R. After. Religion. ? tho foreal
| |
Ooo, getting political up in here!
| |
actually good
| |
I remember having a copy of Come Now Sleep for a while long time ago but never really got onboard with how the vocalist sounded. Vocals are def better on this but song is a little meh.
| |
Decent. Had no idea they're touring.
| |
definitely digging this
| |
This is terrible. I definitely prefer everything post-Son I Loved You at Your Darkest, but even then they interplayed the vocals instead of just singing at the same time. Lyrics were pretty cringey too tbh...
| |
It’s okay, the other two singles they put out were better. Curious to see what they put out still
| |
I liked SILYAYD, but I loved every album after that. But this song is pretty good. Drums are fine, too. Lyrics are not bad. Just enjoy it, guys.
@Storm just add a 1 before every year, that way humanity would count civilized years. So we're now in year 12018. The youtube channel Kurzgesagt - In a Nutshell made a video on that a while ago.
| |
30 year old former emo kids unite.
| |
Man, I just listened to the other two singles they put out and I'm super disappointed. What's up with the generic boring lyricism? I'm baffled.
| |
Mineral, Envy, As Cities Burn.....wtf is going on lately. Yeah this song is hmmm its okay i suppose. It kinda feels like its missing both the emotional dread of SILYAYD and the indie etheral power of CNS and HOHW. Like it hovers through both of those but doesnt quite grasp it. Could be a grower but right now it just feels a little lost in its direction.
| |
I didn’t want to talk trash to them on their social media on account of how much I love CNS and HOHW but this is so boring. TJ or whatever his name is from the first album is so bad. I can’t stand him
| |
Lyrics are trash. Instrumental is great. Voice quality is also great. Chorus is the most laziest thing ever.
| |
Cody has never been an amazing vocalist either let's be honest
| |
He was kind of blandly sweet but the lyrics on the two good albums were full of some of the best lyrics I’ve heard
| |
Not a fan of their debut?
| |
I love this band, but this is bad
| |
Musically it’s a little more intense than suits these guys I think, but my only real issue is with the vocals. This dude coming back is worse than them staying broken up
| |
Fair enough
| |
i'm nostalgic for their older material but this wasn't special
| |
well that was terrible
| |
What The Fuck
| |
Oh... yikes. ACB is dead. Long live ACB.
The AD, as opposed to CE, also made me cringe, but that's probably just my perspective. The lyricism and instrumentation is super tired though. Guess I'll just keep HOHW spinning.
| |
Damn it's been 10 years? Used to love this band. Saw 'em live on Hell or High Water tour
| |
It’s not bad but I can’t see myself revisiting it really
| |
TELL ME IM ONLY DREAMINNNN
TELL ME HES JUST SLEEPIN
WHEN MORNING COMES, WE'LL BOTH WAKE UP TO THE SUOONNN
| |
oh great more edgy politically charged post-hardcore/metalcore songs.
| |
"30 year old former emo kids unite."
lol
| |
LMFAO why are Cody's vocals so gotdamn overproduced....
| |
As someone who barely listened to their first album probably 4 years ago, this was really good to me.
| |
oh, cody. you should've continued hawkboy.
hope they produce better songs.
| |
I saw these guys a week or two ago in Springfield. This new song is kinda bad but the old stuff sounds as good as ever live
| |
oh and they played a few new songs, the others sounded similar. idk where the sick Cody riff work went in the new stuff
| |
Holy shit this is terrible. I hope these guys are at least cashing a decent paycheck off of this stuff. I'm just gonna plug my ears and pretend nothing came out after SILYAYD
| |
Booooooo
| |
This is easily one of the worst things I've heard this year, and I loved their earlier work. These lyrics are absolute garbage.
| |
oh this is phx acb not indie acb
| |
I feel like this is one of those cursed magical token things where I wished really hard for ACB to get back together but then TJ came with and I’m supposed to learn some moral lesson
| |
hahahah

I have no interest in this song but that is a brilliant article title
| |
People on here are so hyperbolic sometimes.
The song is decent but not something I'd really come back to. SILYAYD is the only album I've loved from this band and I'm stoked to see them next week. I'd like if they went back to some heavier sounds (which this song flirts with a little bit) but my fingers aren't crossed. Most band reunions tend to be pretty lackluster when they put out new music.

thought it was pretty good / cody's vocals will always appeal to me and make lacklustre lyricism work / excited for a new album tbh / not expecting too much but hope they make some money
| |
I saw a vid of them playing on this tour and thankfully TJ sounds soooo mich better live than on record
