Looking good!

Havent watched this video yet, but I was unimpressed when I saw them live. 3 guitars plus all that reverb and delay means the sound guy plays a bigger role in their sounding good than they do, and they didn't sound good when I saw em.

Eh, delay actually makes it much more obvious when you fuck up, since your wrong note won't just play once, it'll play over and over until the feedback ends.

Nice video, I dig the drummer zen vibe.
One of the best songs on the album.

Looks like one of the guitarists has left. This probably cleans up their live sound somewhat.

Thats not the point impoppy, everyone who plays guitar knows that. If theyre using a shit ton of reverb and distortion as well (they do) the repeats tend to smooth into one another to create
a huge tone and endless sustain basically. So nah, your mistakes aren't going to be that obvious. Because of that and having 3 guitars, if it isn't mixed properly live, its going to sound bad.

Idk Sitar, I don't think losing one guitarist is gonna work in their favor. The 3 guitars is part of their sound.

Is this actually live though
|
| |
I'd say so yeah bloc

The three guitar thing works better in theory than it does live tbh. Having three guitar parts means that generally two are panned hard right and left and one centered.
That's fine for when you have headphones, but usually not going to work out live unless you have Steven Wilson levels of production. Chances are you're always not going to be able to hear one of the guitars, especially when there's also double bass drums and thrashing bass to contend with.

Sounds like a bunch of studio magic to me tbh

I can't hear any overdubs. Plus, you can see AND hear the vocalist do that quick slide at 0.24-0.25 which is perfectly in sync and not on the record, so I'm leaning towards this being a real live performance.
It just means these guys are really tight as performers.
