This is guaranteed to be terrible.

I sleep
| |
It's a shame because he has such ambitious ideas and used to make such great music, but there's no way I'm listening to this
| |
This is guaranteed to be terrible. [2]
| |
If he doesn't make the worst album in their discography with this one, I will be shocked...
| |
Well, its really good to see Billy being super ambitious in 2020, but cmon, he´s been overdosing his fans since Siamese Dream come out.
I love everything he did until MC&TIS, but what came after its just too much to digest, althrought I enjoyed Elegy and Ogilala, and i wish he should stick to that formula.
| |
Tour sounds awesome though. Gimme some TAFH tracks
| |
I'm digging the machina sequel, though.
| |
Machina was wildly underrated
| |
Sounds good, Grandpa Billy!
| |
haha my gosh, this guys really in love with himself
| |
Yeah I'd be down for a tour where they played Mellon Collie in full.
| |
Pumped idc
| |
Damn Billy figure out how to write a 40 minute album again before you pull this
| |
Machina was wildly underrated [2]
although the production is really just godawful
| |
There is like 12% chance that this will be a massive success.
| |
The records will most likely suck, but I'd still see them live
| |
The last album was great and every song from Cyr so far has been amazing.
I'm pretty confident this is going to be amazing
| |
Bring back the NWA
| |
lets hope for some variety on this shit and actual drumming instead of just electronic pop stuff and for the love of god please play the guitar like on mellon collie
| |
NWA still is broadcasting last I knew, i don't know if corgan is still involved
| |
The secret sauce in "successful pumpkins formula" is the rockin'-ass guitars that he neutered into this bland alt rock act thing he's got going on now. They need to be heavier and more interesting.
Listen to "Jellybelly", Billy. Do that again.
| |
yeah the thick wall of guitars and then the sort of laid back vocals were a cool combination, and chamberlains drumming recently has been horrible what happened to him?
| |
I think his heart is with the Jimmy Chamberlin Complex, their past couple releases had stellar drumming. SP is probably just a cash cow for Jimmy and James at this point, let Billy do whatever he wants in the studio and then make some money touring as a legacy act.
| |
Billy Corgan has to be one of the most unlikeable artists oat right
| |
No doubt. Corgan graduated from the same high school I did, all the teachers from his day that were still around basically highlight that he was pretty much a holier than thou prick back then too.
| |
I’ve found the William Patrick Corgan stuff to be far superior to the newer Pumpkins material. Adore was the last Pumpkins album I found remotely interesting.
| |
VOLUME IS THE NAME OF THE GAME

Also teachers and geniuses quite often are not compatible.
| |
Sure enough. But another question is does the presence of artistic genius justify being, like, a total chode? Might say that empathy for people in your life is more significant than artistic impact on people outside it.
Especially if you eventually go on to form Zwan
| |
sequel double album to Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness...? sounds like a yucky idea
| |
"Also teachers and geniuses quite often are not compatible."
Fuck off with that.
| |
uhh triggered much? what's wrong with that statement? seems perfectly reasonable to me.... there are teachers out there that are absolutely fucking retarded
| |
Wow you unironically used "triggered" and casually tossed out retarded in the same paragraph, I'm *sure* your opinion is worth the effort it takes to listen and sigh at the same time.
| |
hypersensitive and triggered (and calls reading a dozen or so words "effort")
| |
Damn, thought for sure you had more chambered. Thanks for sparing us.
| |
wouldn't want you to overexert yourself
so how bout them Redskins?
| |
I think you mean Washington Football Team, but keep living in your tryhard symbol
| |
"uhh triggered much? what's wrong with that statement? seems perfectly reasonable to me.... there are teachers out there that are absolutely fucking retarded"
Doubling down on that negative vibe, eh champ?
| |
lol says the guy who told someone to fuck off over a perfectly reasonable statement
| |
I mean he's entitled to his own opinion, one which even porcupinetheater doesn't share with him because (imo) my statement was obviously apparent as a truism but if he disagrees whatever that's his business.
| |
And fwiw I also agree that geniuses should try not to be assholes to people of normal abilities around them but we all know that rarely tends to be the case.
| |
My old boss said he watched some documentary on the smartest guy in the world and he said holding conversations with people of even above average intelligence for him was equivalent to you and I talking to a child.
