Nice tight production. Vocals are killer.
Otherwise, the song is just aight for me

Chris Wiseman is great! I prefer Currents though
|
| |
Ben is an absolute monster, but this wore off me quick. Kinda boring tbh
|
| |
Mad Tyrants Betrayal riff in verse plus Malediction chorus, they recycling ideas. With title Intensified Genocide, I expected it to go harder than it did.
|
| |
decent song
|
| |
Wow very boring
|
| |
See if they build off the last one.
|
| |
they do not
|
| |
That sort of optimism from a normally optimistic Tundra does not bode well.
|
| |
These guys are the riff masters. Solid track overall, definitely excited for the new album.
|
| |
Guitar work is borderline boring on this one. Ben really saves the track with his absurd vocal flow but it's a bummer to hear how shallow the rest of the track is. Not worried yet, but they're way better than this.
|
| |
Not their best, but it's growing on me.
|
| |
Goes hard, Ben is just an absurd vocalist.
|
| |
vocalist is a machine but this band is ridiculously overrated
|
| |
Gets better each listen. Ben is a beast, and the new drummer is amazing.
|
| |
meh. ben is good as usual, song is meh.
idk, shadow of intent kinda bores me
|
| |
Melancholy was really good.
|
| |
Recording with the same producer in January (Christian Donaldson). Can't wait
That being said the song itself was kind of a disappointment. Decent but would've been a filler-ish track on Melancholy probably.

All of these bands sound identical. This style and type of production is soooo played out and boring, and it stopped being fun like 8 years ago. The people who dig this type of thing are probably grooming 13 year olds and blasting this out of their Honda Civic because they think this kind of music is a flex.
|
| |
@brabiz who hurt you?
|
| |
Been real out of touch with deathcore the past decade and this didn't really do much for me. Which album should I try of theirs if I give them a go? Solo was decent I suppose. One of my friends has been hyping this band up for years
|
| |
Depends, listen to the song the heretic prevails and also malediction, whichever song you prefer try that album out first.
|
| |
I agree with AaroN911. If you don't like either of these tracks you won't like the band for sure.
Malediction is my personal pick as the definitive Shadow of Intent song.

For me it sounds great. Very decent, well played, well structured and arranged Deathcore music here. Sure, besides Ben's absurd, outstanding vocal performance this overall is not very "original" but it slaps, it kicks, it has some drive. Everything fine here.
I like the strong Death Metal focus here and for me it sounds much better than the exaggerated, monsterous sound that for example "Brand of Sacrefice" and other Deathcore bands head for. This is just well-played in my ears!
Btw. this sounds a lot like the current Soreption record, which I like! :D

I can't stop listening to this song. Definitely a grower. It slap
