New Zeal & Ardor Single

Zeal & Ardor shared another new single, 'Bow', off their upcoming self-titled album, set for release February 11th, 2022, via MVKA. You can stream it below.

The 14-track release was recorded by Marc Obrist and Manuel Gagneux at Hutch Sounds and mixed and mastered by Will Putney at Graphic Nature Audio. All songs were written by the softly spoken, multilingual frontman Gagneux, with some German lyrics intermixed with the English.

Gagneux declares: "With the self-titled record, we have arrived at where I imagined this project should sound like. It’s the longest we’ve worked on a single record and I believe it shows. The most important thing for an album of ours to do, is transport you instantly into our mood, our world. Even though this might not be the one you might expect from us, this record certainly delivers on that front. We had time to hone in to what we think makes us interesting and what sounds we would like to explore through this we have found our home. Home is burning. Welcome home."

Pretty solid as always. Sounds like something that would be playing in a Dodge truck commercial or something, but it’s a good track.

Single is alright, not bad, but not memorable.

I hope they go back to the occult inspired vibe they had going on Devil is Fine and Stranger Fruit, because Wake of a Nation didn't really do it for me. Not because it wasn't good, but more because it lacked the vibe I expected from the band and without the vibe they sounded way loss interesting and memorable.

this track wouldn't be out of place on an Imagine Dragons record. i'm worried now

Yeah this does sound like Imagine Dragons, that’s who I was thinking of but couldn’t place it. Not too enthusiastic about it, but I also didn’t mind it

Definitely the most mainstream he’s sound but I like it. My least favorite of the 3 singles so far, but I have faith the album won’t be all like this. He seems to be experimenting with the sound.

This single sounds exactly like I thought it would.

Honestly, was hoping Cut Me and We Never Fall would also be on this album. At least we got Hold Your Head Low. As for this single, kind of feels like a transition track (like the Sacrilegium trilogy or Fire of Motion, Solve, and Coagula) rather than a single.
