Very promising. Best single since the blurryface album. Enjoyable on first listen. Seems like a good vibe to start an album

Banger

It's very good. The intro itself is so simple yet so cool.
|
| |
Beginning reminds me a lot of Prodigy.
Curious about the album. Scaled and Icy was just OK, hope they bounce back
|
| |
Man I love a good percussion driven tune. Solid single.
|
| |
On the one hand this band's 'lore' is borderline insufferably self-indulgent
on the other hand, this song was catchy and immediately more memorable than anything on Scaled and Icy
on the third hand, kinda wishing for a return to big dynamics circa Blurryface
|
| |
I've actively disliked this band for nearly a decade because the awful Stressed Out that I had to be tortured by for at least a year. I really fuck with this song though.
|
| |
I feel like 99% of bands with baked in lore are self-indulgent to a degree (that includes bands I love like Coheed). At least the good ones know how to make it less obvious and in your face.
Haven't heard this single yet, but I've heard good things about it, so that's something
|
| |
Better than any of the crap on their last album, but that’s a low bar and this only just passes it
|
| |
Surprised by the love you all are giving this, gave it a single listen yesterday and didn't get much out of it. It did make me dive back into some tracks off Vessels and Blurry Face. Used to be a big fan during those two releases.
|
| |
Noticeably a return to form imo, immediately more memorable than anything on SAI. This felt similar to when Fairly Local came out for me. Anticipating the album
|
| |
Scaled and Icy wore off me and I haven't really jammed them in a while, but this is a great return and I'm excited for this album now
|
| |
Definitely more "Trench" sounding which is a big W
|
| |
Day 2, listen 2, song grew and fucks

Guys, it is music, dont be losers. I was a huge fan of this band 10 years ago buy cds and i have no idea what yall are talking about. Just coming off as weirdos.
|
| |
"Just coming off as weirdos."
That's because I AM a weirdo, Storm
|
| |
"Definitely more "Trench" sounding which is a big W"
this may be the reason for my lack of enthusiasm. I didnt like Trench at all.
|
| |
"That's because I AM a weirdo, Storm"
Oh then that is fine, i apologize!
|
| |
Obligatory Twenty One Pilots brag: I’ve seen them both at a sold out 20,000 person show and a show with 32 people in attendance.
Song gets me hyped like Fairly Local did, which concerns me because that’s also one of two songs I actually ever go back and listen to on Blurryface
|
| |
Just realized this band has concept sci fi story albums.
|
| |
car radio still slaps
|
| |
I only like a handful of songs from this band (Fairly Local, The Hype)
But I think I will add this one to the list, its got a nice groove.
|
| |
decent.
|
| |
They fell off hard for me. I liked the crazier, more bombastic stuff off their first two albums, three counting whatever that independent release with “Pantaloons” was, but they’ve gone too mellow and chill for me.
|
| |
They’re still doing this bs “concept” stuff huh
|
| |
So I listened to trench this morning and discovered that I have been bashing it for years despite apparently never listening to it because it was real enjoyable and certainly better than blurry face because it’s not nearly as cheesy.
Didn’t catch whatever the concept was supposed to be tho
|
| |
Really bad!
|
| |
This rules so much
|
| |
It's OK
|
| |
The new single is better than this one was
|
| |
Yeah, Next Semester was pretty solid.
