  • DDDeftoneDDD So cool you re still enjoying Demonic Wealth. Its really peculiar and unique sound of an album. And yap, hypnotic af. I feel I m not here when its on
    February 11 06:13 PM
  • Tundra Can definitely see where you're coming from in regards to TWD and new Rolo. I see the new album has a hybrid between TWD and album prior to that Grievances. I think the mathcore sections of the album are really stellar personally.
    February 8 05:05 PM

    August 12 03:13 PM

    March 26 02:06 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD I can see that bro. My insight is that it is still a pre good one, specially if don t make a ditect comparison. One of my few last comments there explains it pre well.
    March 26 02:05 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Dew s rev mentions "It's not a surprise to see the master architect of Swedish post metal legends Cult of Luna, Magnus Lindberg, credited as the man in charge of mastering the already fantastic mixing job carried out by Graeme Young at his Chamber Studio, in their hometown of Edinburgh"
    March 26 09:38 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Yes I am also sure of it, but its a bit more energetic as The Ocean (or psychonaut we talked). They def joined that league for this one, even if it implied losing some of the guitarwork approach we caught on Asheran. The album wins for itself. I hope they get back that sort of technichality on future releases, tho ahah
    March 26 09:36 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD hey cool tip. You have it on vinyl he? ahah you have a beast of an album there. Time will give you that. Been jamming both albums all week.
    March 25 02:47 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Yeah I guess a cool comparison to that one is the latest psychonaut. I also was blasting the back half of it in the car and it clicked. Still like Asheran better, but that doesn t mean it isn t a really well done output.
    March 25 01:32 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD get around the new Dvne properly.
    March 25 10:03 AM

    September 29 08:17 PM

    September 29 12:42 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Cool! Need to check! Tks a lot!
    August 15 07:55 AM
  • JohnnyoftheWell hmmm yeah might have used 'riff' a lil bit liberally, but that main motif in Washer is the case-closed creepiest repeated line playable on a guitar
    July 18 04:15 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD if you want another tasty one check the last Zao - Well-Intentioned Virus
    July 16 11:15 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD s***...I forget how good Mire is....Me personally don't know why I don't have that album 5d yet tbh.
    July 16 11:14 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Indeed bro! Song of illuminate Darkeness is.my personal fave but the album is full of bangers.
    July 15 08:45 PM
  • sizeofanocean Hey, so far i have only listened once or twice, so it's probably premature to form an opinion but i liked it quite a bit on my first impression. The album it reminded me most of was White Silence
    July 15 05:32 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD I'm happy you dig Warforged m/
    July 10 09:44 AM
  • trilo i've jammed Palms a long time ago and didn't think much of it but i'll give it another go. never heard Failure though so i'll add to my list. i'm all about the sludgy, shoegazy stuff.
    June 28 04:10 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Holy s*** Vile Creature s closer Apathy Took the Helm is omfg ahah
    June 26 09:15 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Oh I have that on the digs to check out. What s Stygian Bough though?
    June 26 08:46 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Is that on the DB?
    June 26 04:49 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD As "connoisseur of top tier filth" you must check Vile Creature. ahah
    June 26 04:13 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Ahah that is not true...the more you learn the less you know but COME ON OVEEER AND SHOOT THE s***
    June 5 06:17 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD the amateurish I found in the transitions to the more quiet moments, as in them naivety as well ahah I kinda wish a little more from the drums...but being picky here now...its very cool overall.
    June 5 05:47 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD yeah...only now, after I was introduced to this sludge thing I didn't know about, I can see why I dig so much Bleach...today I see it as very much sludge influenced album. On my second spin of Blessings m/
    June 5 05:43 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD ahaha the compilation is awesome, if you re a fan of Thou and not so much of Nirvana, well then yeah...if you are a massive fan of Nirvana from the old days, then offcourse its not the best Nirvana...for me is one of my faves DoomSludge bands covering one of my old faves....I don't ask anything, nor anything less m/
    June 5 05:33 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD I liked it bro. Its a great debut. How would you rate it?
    June 5 05:29 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Worry seemed a little amateur at times, but some tracks there completely smash!!!! Like Tidal f.e.
    June 5 05:14 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD YESSSSS m/ I disagree with the soundoff though ahahah but we got your point
    June 5 05:13 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD awesome....me neither..that compilation is out today. its filthy awesome lol
    June 5 02:14 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD also....just got a notification. today there's a compilation full of Nirvana covers - blessings of the highest order
    June 5 10:48 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD I'm glad you like!!! But the album is a 4.5! ahahah cheers! I don't know if you re deep in Thou's discog, but you just try the compilation Rendon. Its incredible and the track The Song of Illuminate Darkness is top Thou tier.
    June 5 10:27 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Hey! TKS for the recs. I'll take them into care!
    June 4 01:43 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD TKS I feel honored...although I know that list do not **** around! I listened to a lot of 2019 stuff. Jolliete is sung in Spanish, but I think you ll get around that m/ Gald you're digging Thou.
    June 4 01:43 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD hey, I'm not recing you the whole list obviously, but if something captures your eye let me know...anyway that top 22 all met the 4.5 (first 3 I 5d with no shame) cheers
    June 2 02:00 PM
  • Demon of the Fall Somewhere Along the Highway is a suitable introduction, or Salvation (although that has a greater emphasis on ambience). Their whole journey is interesting though. The Beyond is crushingly heavy, Eternal Kingdom is quirky and has a unique atmosphere, Vertikal expanded upon the electronic elements they ended up improving on with Dawn.
    June 2 01:44 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD If you want one of my top (post)hxc from 2019 just check Joliette - Luz Devora. check my 2019 list, I'm always adding stuff to that and other years (I'm trying to go as far back as I can) - https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1112886
    June 2 09:22 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Yeah bro...Asymmetrical is great example of the post aspects on the album (sometimes like ATDI), they're all spread on all album and give it quite a seasoning ahah they are def obfuscated by the beefy heaviness, like one of my faves there is Thief, that goes from that to awesome progressions on 2nd half - pay attention ahah. Now CoL Dawn to Fear is amazing cool and smooth listen, its not bad if you fall asleep to it, although, like Demon says...put it veeery loud...they are awesome.
    June 2 09:18 AM
  • Demon of the Fall I don?t know if you can suggest to someone HOW to listen, necessarily. It took a while to grow on me (even as a big fan before release). I guess you have tried listening to some of their other material? I just listen very loud, with headphones, sometimes with beer, lol.
    June 2 07:18 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Ahah now I know you can do a little stretch on Johny Booth cause that drummer is insane, and the tunes give a little extra that makes it a bit larger than just gym music imo...
    June 1 10:04 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD yeah tune for summer time...I see you're on SUNO)))) lmao...have a nice time bro
    May 28 03:13 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD You are very nice bro!TKS m/ anyway I'm spinning like hell the new Rosenstock. Give it a check if you cared for early weezer and greenday...I thought this genre were dead actually, and I'm no Rosenstock fan...but this album is pretty yummi. Cheers
    May 28 02:53 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD oh cool, how do I catch that?
    May 28 02:06 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD the mentioned tracks on my soundoff were awesome by them selves...but the other ones...specially when they are minimal, not in terms of sound, but songwriting, they crave for a damn verse...like f.e. when you get the song is built too much in 4s they are just begging for lyrics (and that's my issue on that Psychonaut's opener) - but you know, that s all in my head probably ahah
    May 28 09:27 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Totally agree with your soundoff on tfstorm.
    May 27 09:19 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD "For example the instrumental opener from Psychonaut's is indeed the instrumental one XD" lol whats this? I meant the instrumental track is my least fave...sometimes I smoke...ahah
    May 27 09:17 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Ahahah I know right? I was typing as I was listening...was super nice specially those tracks where they stopped being so minimal, but also where they were tool plus something...the only reason I don t 4 is what I wrote in the soundoff.
    May 27 09:15 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD aaaaaight...album *f*u*c*k*s
    May 27 04:45 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD I must say this is craving for a vocalist lol
    May 27 04:30 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD For example the instrumental opener from Psychonaut's is indeed the instrumental one XD
    May 27 04:28 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD I have issues with this type of instrumental stuff...Its my bad I guess...Although I admit is pre good....lets say I prefer this to Night Verses.
    May 27 04:27 PM
  • DDDeftoneDDD gonna give it a shot
    May 27 09:35 AM
  • DDDeftoneDDD Hands down to those few yet awesome rates bro m/
    May 20 08:38 PM
  • Wizard This site loves the same stuff over and over again. I thought I would get in there before any rec's you too much modern stuff.....Ulcerate......bleh.Try Gorguts - From Wisdom to Hate, that is their best album.
    May 14 07:54 PM
  • Wizard Proggy dm? Blotted Science - The Machinations of Dementia
    May 12 09:00 PM
