4.0 excellent | resident sputbirb with fancy hat | April 24th 24 | Why did the High on Fire guitarist get banned from the library? Because every time he checked out a book, he'd turn it into a "heavy" metal masterpiece! Sorry about that, let me explain. High on Fire is known for their heavy and aggressive style of music, often categorized as "heavy metal." The joke plays on the idea of the guitarist being so heavy-metal oriented that even when he checks out a book from the library (which should be unrelated to music), he somehow transforms it into something heavy and metal, like their music. It's a play on the literal meaning of "heavy metal" (the music genre) and the literal weight of a book.

3.6 great | Erwann S. STAFF | April 25th 24 | The stoner daddies bring out another riffest that, as Gene says, suffers from a midway lull. Without that lil bump, the record would be their finest since the 2000s.

3.5 great | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | April 23rd 24 | High on Fire fall on to autopilot a little, as the middle section from "Karanlik Yol" to "The Beating" drags on ridiculously and sticks out very little. But the front and back end are as solid a HoF as it gets.
Edit: Flug, what the fuck are you talking about?

short, it has to be at least 50 characters

3.5 great | Gary STAFF | April 19th 24 | Well, this definitely wasn't the best HoF record. It's a bit overlong, a little bit repetitive after a while; yet it contains some great bangers such as "rTrismegistus" or "Tough Guy". (These were little bit Celtic Frost-y, that probably explains why did I dig 'em). The production is thick and fuzzy, as expected. Matt's vocals are generally a bit eh, but his lower growls are pretty sick, though!
