Saw this band at the Mean Fiddler in London, supporting Rise Against. They sucked ass live. They were blown away by Rise Against and the band who went on before AWS, who were a random Basque band with an unintelligable name.
but this review paints a better pic. maybe i saw them on an off dayThis Message Edited On 10.10.07

When I saw them, they were really really good.
'Pardon Me, Thanks a Lot' has been my favorite song of the past few days. Listening to it constantly.

Either way you should pick this up. Definitely worth it if you like punk/metal music even in the slightest.

Finally picked this up.
I had to listen through it twice to make sure the first time wasnt just because it was so new, but this album is amazing.
Different sound than ruiner, but still sick on of the best releases I've heard this year.

I would highly suggest you guys check out The Swellers, they will be touring with these guys. I have played a show with The Swellers and seen them live, it is amazing.

This cd is so good I actually went out to FYE and bought it for a random person. Just from listening to this band you can tell from the intensity they're demanding to be heard.

i'm a HUGE strung out fan, and i loved their latest album, but i have to say, this album has beaten "blackhawks..." by quite a long way. it's basically taken the best bits (i.e. all of them!) from their last two records, coated it liberally in shred, and tied it to a fucking rocket. album of the year, and i'd wager there won't be anything to rival that title in the remaining few months!
btw, what is it with the "sequel" song titles? has there ever been a "cold slither I" or "in vino veritas I"?

Yeah, this album owns Blackhawks by a long shot. Probably gonna be album of the year for me. Thrice is gonna be close.

Do not get Mute Print first.
Career Suicide>>>>>>>Ruiner>>>>>Mute Print>>>>>>>>>>Benefits of Thinking Out Loud
This album kills Ruiner in nearly every aspect.
Saw them Thursday night. Amazing fucking Live show. I actually cooked for them and the Swellers and met/hung out with all of them which was rad as hell.

seriously?! not even those sweet three-part harmonies?!

Kritikal - How can you NOT like the vocals?
Intransit - Yeah, this is definitely AWS' best by a wide margin. Ruiner and Mute Print have some really, really great songs though.
And yes, this album is a lot better than Blackhawks Over Los Angeles. It's what that album should have been, really.

Am i right in saying that the vocals are similiar to Strung Out?

They aren't similar to Strung Out at all. The only comparisons I can think of are like gritty pop punk ala the Lawrence Arms, Smoke or Fire, Samiam, etc.
