Good stuff. Better than AKNF by a long shot.

Sum 41 do seem to have a lot of songs that are similar to other peoples. Mr Amsterdam Sounds A hell of a lot similar to An Offspring song. But, Even if they sound similar, they did it right. If It really bothers you all that much, just consider it a cover. If Not, Enjoy the amazing album.

I actually didn't mind All Killer No Filler. It was a pop-punk album and it didn't pretend to be anything else but everything they've put out since then has just annoyed me. They seem to be trying to copy the popular flow of music with every release and just end up sounding like a thousand other bands on the radio with every release. They just keep getting more and more boring and I'm not going to waste any more of my money on their albums or shows.

You can't even compare Chop suey to sum 41. Good review though.

I think the only band that succesfully pulled off the "grown up" thing was Blink-182.

i think this album is supurb and as for those of you who believe that sum 41 ripped off metallica well i have only one thing to say to you WAKE UP AND ACTUALY LISTEN TO IT!!!!!!!! im not tryin to brag but me and my band are quite acomplished and we all love sum 41 and metallica and if you actually bought the sheet music then you would know that they are nothing alike whatsoever they are just played in the same key anyone who thinks otherwise obviously hav no sense of tones and keys and even music! wel this album is supurb but still not so far from 'does this look infected?'

Are ANY of you aware how many songs there are in the WORLD.
So chords are kinda limited.. I can think of so many songs that sound simlilar to others.Get over your selves. Sum 41 are freakin amazing.

Sum is 100* better than Blink 182. Don't get me wrong I love Blink, But their lyrics aren't rebel. THey're all about why mark and Tom can't get layed. POD sucks. Also, sum didn't cpy Metallica at all. Sum did cover a lot of Metallica songs, which means they obviously LISTEN to Metallica. If you listen to a band enough to cover, then your music will probably sound a little bit like theirs.

yes sum 41 is amazing and what i dont like is how all you posers like people taht are into rap crap and hip hop and pop and all that shit how you like hear a slow popish song like pieces and you say you are a total sum 41 fan or a punk fan in general, like frik i cant stand it its the same for a bunch of EMO punk bands too (not saying sum 41 is EMO) like the used, when ppl heard all that i've got they say ya i am a total The Used fan and all that junk but ya back on subject sum 41 is amazing and deserve alot more credit then they have they are completely under rated, how many punk bands can u name from canada thgat have such good songs and their amounbt of fame, like all you gays that like simple plan shoul never listen to sum 41 you give them a bad name like ppl like place sum 41 with bands like simple plan and good charlotte liek =wtf they are completely different from those fags sum 41 is a genre itself they are so frikin good and who ever says they rip off other bands can go screw themselfs, and like they would even want to rip off linkin park crap. and if they sound like metallica on one or 2 songs then thats a good thing at least you are compairing them to a band as good as metallica and that also means they have to skill to play from pop punk to slow punk to frikin heavy metal so ya if u dont like sum 41 you go show your simple plan cd up your ass and leave sum 41 alone they rock!!

Sum can't be put in a genre. They've done every style except for country (good place to draw the line).

Sum is that good and ALter Bridge has one of the only three (sum, Mars Volta) modern guitarists that can acually write a good solo. They're also a hell of a hot more improvic than any modern band.
