I remember around 2006, when my older cousin was giving away his junkie ex-wifes belongings when she ditched him while he was in jail, leaving his house a disgusting mess. He knew i was a music nerd, and along with a plethora of awesome old school death metal, thrash, hardcore, and industrial records he gave me this. I never straight up listened to a techno record before, finding the whole concept silly and mindlessly dull. My opinion didnt quite change much after listening to this album, but what i was suprised to find was an actual message of rebellion and anarchy in the the samples and artwork, which gave the otherwise tedious and overly long tracks a little more bite and purpose. So while i am still pretty much anti-techno, and I still crack on the raver scene, on occasion I will slide this record and enjoy the trancelike rythms when im high enough to tolerate it.

^ Recommend checking out their next album The Fat Of The Land, if you haven't already. Obviously you

dig the heavy driving breaks and samples on this album - there's even punk/metal-esque variety on

FOTL - plus it's a better album overall

Same same same. Along with The Chems of course. Still remember how unforgettable was my first hearing

of The Fat.

"Break & Enter", "Their Law", "Voodoo People", "Poison" and "No Good" are all a tie for me here. Can't

really say which one I prefer ^_^

I got The Remedy. Remember when this came out and there was a huge Styrofoam head mock up of the cover shown on display in the record store. Never in my life have I been so tempted to lob a brick through a window to nick the thing.

groundbreaking. there was nothing like it when it was released. although there were some good rave/techno things going on at that time.

Forgot how much I loved this. One of my first albums in the electronic genre.
