First 100 orders I think get a signed copy. I am just going to get mine at the show and maybe she'll sign it for me if she remembers me, doubtful but I'll try. Basically from what I talked over with them is: Dessa - Jan. 19, 2010. Lazerbeak 2010, P.O.S. - 2010 which could be a collab with another artist that I can't remember, Sims - The Veldt - Fall 2010, Mike Mictlan - 2010 - solo record, no word on new Cecil Otter. Paper Tiger has a full-length in 2010 also I believe. P.O.S., Dessa and Sims said basically there is so much shit they are going to release in 2010 that I won't believe it. Here's to hope.

^Nice. Yeah, the P.O.S. disc will be a colab with Astronautalis (whoever that is). At least that's what the news post here on Sput said.

I thought this review need a little more description of the album (it's so hard to do a record this amazing the justice it deserves) so I added another paragraph..

Anyone have suggestions on how I can improve the review a bit?

Honestly i think it's fine where it is. If it had anymore detail it might turn people off from reading.

Good point man, I guess my fanboy-like love for P.O.S. could influence me to make this review too long for it's own good. Thanks for the pos bro.

^I'd definitely recommend checking this out first (obviously I guess, I gave it a 5). I like this and Ipecac Neat slightly more than Never Better (which is still great btw).

I think it goes this, Never Better, Ipecac Neat
Let It Rattle and Drumroll alone give Never Better mega bonus points.

^those two songs are the dopeness. I also like Graves, Been Afraid, Purexed, Terrorish and The Basics (Alright).

I think it's a sentimental thing w/ Ipecac for me. I love Kidney Thief, That One, Methhead vs. McNugget, Music For Shoplifting, Kicking Knowledge in the Face, etc..

Never Better is my favorite, then this. Ipecac is alright.

I think POS has a classic in him, but it hasn't happened yet... he needs to outright kick the soul sample/ doomtree-ish stuff to the curb and focus on the sh*t that makes this and Never Better good (a-la Purexed, Drumroll, the opener on this, etc)

I think that's the direction he's heading in kingsoby (IMO). I think he was doing the Doomtree stuff because at the time it was somewhat unique and it was a good way for him to get his name out there (plus he's really good at it -- better than anyone in Doomtree besides Dessa maybe).

I don't think he'll ever give up the more melodic side completely, especially when he's coming into his own as a singer in addition to rapping. But the sound on Drumroll, Purexed, The Basics, Half-Cocked Concepts, etc.. is what makes him unique. This was a classic for me because of the strong songwriting and the fact that when it came out 4 years ago it was incredibly unique (El-P and Sole were doing somewhat similar stuff, but without the punk edge or sense of melody)

Yes sir random, P.O.S. is a rapper. And a damn fine one at that. Give this album a shot dude, it's really good. Or, at least go on youtube and check out the songs P.O.S. Is Ruining My Life, Stand Up (Let's Get Murdered), A Teddy Bear & A Tazer and Half-Cocked Concepts. Really good stuff.
