I agree the arrangements are well done, it just doesn't work at all for me when the two come together, plus Yes aren't doing anything particularly interesting with their own input.

It's too soon for me to argue on that point since I've listened to it all only once in its entirety, and now I'm just beginning to scan my attention track by track. I can already say this album is definitely worth a listen. It's nowhere near their classic albums no doubt, but still it truly contains some Yes nature.

Perhaps if the Yes of 1973 recorded these songs with an orchestra it would be full of fire and passion, but a bunch of tired 60-year-olds with drummer Alan White the main culprit (unable to come up with anything but simple beats at this point, no proggy fills), no it doesn't work. I saw this in the cut-out bin for a buck and passed on it...
