i like suicide silence. i have pretty much everything theyve ever done and i can honestly say although this isnt their best album (The Cleansing) it is still worth a listen. they do sway more to the metalcore scene with this album...not entirely a bad thing. one problem i find with this album is that it doesn't seem to have the energy that The Cleansing did.

Debut album is a very underrated and good metal album, this is just boring and boring. Still better then many other deathcore bands overall.

@AnarchistFish: I was saying it mainly in the context that suicide silence's main audience is scene kids who shop at hot topic all the time. Yeah, they are metal but I was saying it in the general sense that with that crowd it seems like they only like them 'cause it's "cool" to like them when, really, they're generic and boring compared to others within the genre of deathcore or any sort of metal. Sometimes it's fairly evident that some of those people use this band as an example of what good metal is and find bands like them instead of looking outside of the box. In conclusion, they're restricting themselves from better music cuz they want to be cool. Not saying all of them, just a certain amount that i've seen that have led me to believe such things

Mitch is giving up on his lows it seems to me, even live when they are playing Bludgeoned To Death he does high where there should be lows (constantly). They are touring with bands like Korn, and Disturbed...ugh... Let's go back to The Cleansing, at least that album crushes my mind, and I always have the urge to go back and listen to it. Suicide Silence needs to pull the trigger on this shit and take it back a few steps before they really go mainstream.

A generic album by an even more generic band. New albums quite bland, I preferred their previous efforts.
