Well in my opinion Holy Diver is their best album. The next one is also very good. Dream Evil let's say it's his last classic album. Always have mixed reviews but I really love it.
If one day you wake up in a more heavy mode (Maiden, Priest, Saxon,..) give Dio a listen. Classic Heavy Metal stuff.

Aight Hans, I'll do. Actually some friends from my youth used to like to jam to some Dio and the likes. It just didn't appeal enough to me. Now my ear is more and more acustomed to metal, chances are good I'd appreciate some more metal classics like you say. m/

@Notrap, I've discovered Iron Maiden and Judas Priest at the same time I've met Black Sabbath and AC/DC, but I've preferred the latters over the formers. I'm talking about the end of the 70s. Since then, only distant memories.

Hahahaa AC/DC is very cool indeed.
Yes, I believe Black Sabbath and AC/DC are more "Jethro" but we never know. In my 20's I listened more prog than metal and now it's the opposite. I'm in a really extreme mode...the music cycles I believe.

I did a lot of AC/DC song covers with the first band I had. I still can see me telling them''hey guys, no more AC/DC or people are gonna think we are a tribute-to band haha. Great memories, phew...

Bon Scott era AC/DC is the best thing ever

Again, all that jazz is kinda distant memories to me. Revisiting all these black an white gems should be an interesting project to consider.

I believe it's good to catch fresh hair. Leave Prog for a while and then return...Don't swim to long on the same waters...

My palette is quite varied since I'm a sputniker. For decades long I was indeed nearly exclusively a proghead (plus quite a bit classical music, a few metal, folk rock, lots of hard rock and stuff)...
Now it's like ''Sky is the limit'' really.

Yep..Sputnik rules m/
Talking about Accept and this particular record. If you like AC/DC you probably will like some of these songs like Ahead Of The Pack.
These guys always have 2 sides:
A Side: Speed Metal. Faster songs...they are speed metal pioneers.
B Side: Classic Metal (Priest oriented)
Let's say there's a good change you like their B side.

"I believe it's good to catch fresh hair. Leave Prog for a while and then return...Don't swim to long on the same waters..."
NoTrap speaks words of wisdom.
I myself try to switch from prog, to metal, to alternative and the like, I guess my profile reflects that, lol. Metal is sometimes too much serious riffage, prog is sometimes too sweet, and alternative is sometimes too unconventional. I like a nice balance between those three. I also like some punk now and again.
