Emo rap? stfu!

No kidding. Emo has nothing to do with hip-hop. It's supposed to mean emotional hardcore, nothing else. Anyway, I think the songs on this album sound similar only because there is a theme represented in all of them that makes it a more coherent group. His other albums don't sound exactly like this.

fucking this.
I've always loved whole contrast between his conscious and subconscious on this record, personified through the work/life balance stories he tells, which is pretty much every song on here but it's easiest to identify in No Regrets, Battery and 9-5ers Anthem.

As said earlier, great review, but the intro's pretty meh.
God I love this album - this was my introduction to good rap.

I think this needs a new review, but I'm not sure I'm ambitious enough to try to summarize my feelings on this album. I might start with Appleseed instead.

This is a great album, Aesop's strongest in my opinion.
No Regrets doesn't have another MC, just Aesop.

With blockhead as a producer this guy has a strong advantage
everyone must remember this
|

I need to listen to this guy more. I only have his Daylight EP and I have Felt III which his production on was fucking amazing.
Any suggestions to what Aesop LP I should check out first?

I've started with this one first and it seems like a good beggining
however i'm not like the Aesop rock specialist so any other suggestion could be useful

m'kay I'll just hope some other people give me their input too and I'll pick the most common recommendation. Thanks though

None Shall Pass is the most accessible, but this is his best.
and yeah, having Blockhead definitely helps, but Aesop has made at least 50% of his own beats over the course of his career. I think he only did like 3 of them on this album though
