Yeah new one is good enough but her approach imo has always been a collection of songs rather than a unified albums and when the songs are like two minutes, welp :/

can't decide if the new one is "slight" or "sleight of hand" but i really like it

Well I'm just in time to join the hype train for the new album. I've heard some of her songs in passing and saw her play a short acoustic set live two weeks back and I liked her but wow I just heard Nobody and Geyser and I love them.
Also just found Your Best American Girl and Last Words of a Shooting Star and holy damn, I'm in love.

honestly haven't heard any of her other records, but I had a chance to get accustomed to the new one early and it's nice but some of the tracks were a bit hit or miss
the production job is gorgeous though and Side B really outshines the first half

I will say the 1-2 punch of Blue Light and Two Slow Dancers is the best thing she's done

This girl has the best album titles lol

Your Best American Girl was one of the songs of the decade

i wish she did big stuff like that more, instead of just that one time.

Had the chance to watch her live recently and the show was stellar. This woman was born for live performances. The contrast between oriental dance, emotional switch faces, anime tropes and humble persona was all the crowd needed to be hyping the whole concert. Nobody left when the show ended and she came back on stage to perform two more songs. I became officially a fan
