Oooh need to check that - bummer that it isn't even in the database yet

Would I enjoy this?

Hmm. Maybe - it's all wholesome distortion and loud pop. Give Yume wo Miyou a jam and if you dig that, the rest is the same vibe
|
| |
Alright, alright.
|
| |
welp if i had found out about this sooner it probably wouldve been in my top 5 records of 2018
|

Haha yessss this album is such a treasure. I had to persuade myself to get into other jpop just so I'd stop bingeing it
|
| |
Yeah I'd say that this is a revelation in the Jpop world, which has gotten pretty stagnant over the past few years. I will say that I hope the sound expands a bit in future releases. The style is incredible but it's pretty homogeneous over the course of this album and the EP/singles.

Agreed tbh; that works well for a debut but I hope she takes it places

Just stumbled across this artist. Wonderful review. Oh wow haven't heard of Prune Deer but this sounds great - do you have a link?
|
| |
did y'all hear that this is comin out on vinyl to coincide with haru's european tour? apparently the label that's doin the vinyl (specific) has been known to put out some pretty shoddy discs but gonna buy anyway cuz no one else is doin a fuckin vinyl release so what choice
also the band thats featured on "roll n roll wa shinanani" (suddenly boyz) is putting out their first album next month; they have a ton of hype around them in the japanese rock underground and last year they played this fuckin perfect song at fuji rock festival https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aZxnS-ArY8 so its gonna be the shit

Yeah, saw that - and that's she's coming to the UK! Absolutely hyped to catch her, though curious as to what the crowd will be like
Cool about that band, do they have any EPs or whatever floating around?

Absolutely hyped to catch her, though curious as to what the crowd will be like
i talked to some people who are seeing her in UK and apparently she's literally playing fucking bars? like not even bars w/ bandrooms - just normal bars?
do they have any EPs or whatever floating around?
they're one of those bands that releases mostly limited CD-Rs so not much floatin around atm. however they do have three live albums on streaming services for some reason.

Yeah, that was the impression I got - respect to her for taking those gigs anyway, but also damn... can imagine it either being very cool and intimate or just plain awkward. Will have a look for their live stuff.
