I have to say you were actually kind. It's not a secret to anyone that BLACKPINK is actually a very low quality k-pop group, ever since their debut; YG been trying to hard to make them get to be a global group just like BTS and some people that are mad over BTS quality and success are now blindly supporting them.
From the very beginning of their career we could see the try to make them a better copy of 2NE1, debuting them with the same concept, formation and even their discarded old tracks. Anyways, for a beginner it was just fine, new kpop grupos are rarely that strong and they take some time to achieve a strong identity and presence. BLACKPINK, in other hand, has only presented worse work since then.
Ddu-du-ddu-du was a hit and they finally got the attention YG always wanted them to have, so ever since there is no changes: just the same old formula (and even the old Boombayah sample) over and over again, to make sure they won't fail with their public.
The strategy of making the public starve and go crazy in every single comeback once an year is actually brilliant and works so well -- even though the vocals are very weak and squeaky and the raps have no flow, only fast screams, they are every day breaking incredible records, thanks to the sick and obsessed fanbase.
I understand people who listen to this casually, it's good to dance and have fun. But no BLACKPINK music is ever orinal, deep, with great lirics or a inteligent concept; it's just what's trending with a personal trace and presented on weak shows with bad stage presence. Anyways, this work is as bad as anyone would expect, since they can't create anything new and are always following the trend created by others. I'm sorry if that's ever your first time with kpop, don't give up! There are amazing other groups that actually make great and original music with real talent that you can look out for.

@sayaka - Blackpink have had their moments, but more variation would help their discography at this point. Nevertheless, agreed, there are many other groups which release much better music in Kpop.

Not even close to the same robertsona. I love Red Velvet and Blackpink but you probably would prefer to stay away from Blackpink lol, this album was their Americanized Red Velvet attempt and it is a dumpster fire.
