There's plenty more post-hardcore albums that are arguably better but this is a great record front-to-back.

yeah, I know there are a lot of post-hardcore albums out there that are better than this. This is one of my favorite albums ever, I absolutely love it. I feel very sad because it is incredibly underrated

I wish they had made it big with this album because then they'd be more inclined to follow up with something similar or even farther away from their debut (which I like too, though).

Good Review! Yeah I agree, Its a way better album than "What it is to burn" with interesting song structure, more originality and more unpredictable than the first album, I think. This, In casino out and Worship and Tribute are probably three of my favorit "modern" post-hadrcore albums. This Message Edited On 09.05.08

In casino out is the second album by At the drive in and Worship and tribute is the second album by Glassjaw. I can also recommend the only two albums by a band called Bear vs. Shark, they are both amazing as well.

Actually you might also like Relationship of command, the last album by At the drive in, it was the one that made me get into them in the first place

i dont know why everyone is always hating on Hopeless Host, I find its the best song on the album, it's just got such a good flow, and the end is the most epic thing the cd has to offer.

Believe me, I take back a lot of things I said about this album and what songs I like. I considering rewriting a few reviews, this included.

The day I purchased this album I didn't like it, I was expecting something like What it is to Burn.

I was definitely shocked when I first heard this, but it didn't take long for me to love it more than their previous stuff.

Their new EP isn't great, but I'm hoping the next full album will be worth the wait.

this is pretty underrated but by far their best. one of the most enjoyable albums i have and the casket of roderic usher is one of my favourite songs.
their new stuff won't be as good as this because they'll try to land between this and their old album i think. which will result in fail.

their new stuff won't be as good as this because they'll try to land between this and their old album i think. which will result in fail. That's what they tried to do on this EP they just released so maybe enough people will express disappointment and they'll veer away from that strategy.
