didn't love Slowly Rivers Turn or In Your Garden Still but every other song was great. Will listen again when I'm not about to fall asleep

Slowly Rivers Turn is one of the bigger growers on here for me, so if that's your biggest complaint I'd say fear not!

his voice sounds pretty terrible on the opener in some spots

that being said, the production here is significantly less shit than "dark bird" so even if it doesnt touch his early stuff id say its an improvement from that one. havent heard his album before this one

You know you're a hipster when you won't listen to the new TMOE because you're too busy jamming a Domestic Terminal EP and a Westelaken promo. I will definitely get to this mainstream nonsense eventually ;-)

But in all seriousness, what LP does this compare to? I'm huge on The Wild Hunt, There's No Leaving, and Dark Bird. All the rest varies for me depending on the day.

The real hipster take though is that TTMOE hasn't done anything good since Shallow Grave, though!

I'd agree with anat generally, this is closer to the last two than what came before, but it's really its own thing.
