4.0 is wild. This album is a major step back from anything in their discography. PROXY was rough, but this album just feels like amateur songwriting and production.

Idk I guess I'm exposed as someone easily drawn in by the emotional side of this type of music

I remember the 2014 album cover being around here back in the day. I'll give this a shot.

"it's getting me back on my Touche / La Dispute thing so yeah"

This comment alone is going to make me give this a try... the comment on the last page about this having silent planet esque vocals almost made me avoid it

Ehhh its fine. Its not for me these days but kinda feels like a retread of earlier material mixed with a poppier element. What worked wirh Deae g-d was the rawness of it and even then that album wasnt spectacular in reteospect

@Feather: in all fairness, Tundra knows fuck-all outside of prog-djent-silent-planet stuff. i appreciate his liking of djent more than most but i feel like he has a narrow view of music. I thought more about La Dispute personally.

@Ectier: fair enough!

Forget emo Feel the misery with My Dying Bride lmao. I feel La dispute really cornered the market for this style

Fair take actually. Them and mewithoutyou really.

MDB is great, it's just more often I'd rather hear less, deep-sounding vocals so often id go to other artists, tho they're better than Type O
