Got to disagree, Albarn sharpened up his best qualities in Gorillaz for the most part.
I’d say he’s written about 10 solid tunes in Blur and another 5 ‘memorable but dubious’ hits too (think ‘Song 2’)
Gorillaz about the same ratio.
Don’t dislike the geezer but he’s done incredibly well considering he’s no singer and his ear isn’t the best, he’s no melodic genius. Coxon doesn’t blow me away either.
Band meant nothing to me at the time, even less now. At least I outright hated Oasis :D

Tender is alright but overlong and Coffee & TV definitely needed editing down by 2 whole minutes - they lost the plot here, I guess it got a ‘radio edit’.
