Most of their albums are pretty boring. The only one I still really love is Thy Mighty Contract.
It's obvious Rotting Christ knows how to write music that's beautiful and soothing but their songs are flat and totally lacking in energy most of the time.

Yeah Thy Mighty Contract is great too. I liked them better when they were more raw tbh. This Message Edited On 09.11.08

The oldest album I've heard from them was "Triarchy of Lost Lovers" (or something like that). Which was boring, but not as boring as the one that followed it. Then I ignored them until Genesis which was supposed to be so great... it wasn't. So then I ignored them again until this album, and I was let down again.

Just get Thy Mighty Contract, it's straight ahead few frills melodic black metal with lots of great riffs and zero filler

I feel immense energy and vigor coming from their playing and the structure of their songs. Listening to Gaia Tellus and Threnody tires me out.

I've had this album since when it came out, and I still haven't been able to really get in to it. I love the way the first song opens though.

I can't get past the first song. It bores the hell out of me.

It used to bore me too, but it grew on me after a while.

The guitar part between 3:15 and 3:45 in Keravnos Kivernitos is amazing. The odd harmonics just make that great riff so much better

Love this damn album. It's on my top 5 for supreme replayability.

Any of their other albums this great and replayable?

None of their other albums are this replayable actually. This is probably their most accesible.

"The drumming is very technical and fast"
I disagree. Rotting christ never had technical drums parts. In fact, Themis style is more simple and "in your face" than technical. But it's not a reproach, I love this band and especially this album (which is probably their best effort so far).
