Autumn I & II are pretty worthless acustic shit. If this EP had stone of remembrance and one another good song it would have been at least a 4.5 for me.

this is bereft of any originality, but I still dig the hell out of this for some reason

Yeah me too. The Agalloch influence is undeniable. I actually think the vocals are more of a straight John Haugm ripoff than an influence, but some of the guitar melodies on this are so awesome that it keeps me coming back.

Stone of Remembrance is actually somewhat original I guess. well not really its a mash up of all these different styles and yet
it still works somehow

I fucking hate when stuff is called a 'clone' band. Yes, this band is similar, but it's a genre of music. Agalloch may be the biggest in this particular subgenre but doesn't make all other bands in the genre a clone. Is every thrash that sounds like Slayer a Slayer clone? Fuck no, even though basically all pure-thrash sounds the same.

Btw, good review though.

The song Ashen Eidolon is fucking great.

Would be nice if that happened. This is a great album. The world can always use a bit more quality folk bm.

It's weird how these guys in 2012 released this EP but added a new song and called it an LP. I want to add it but it has the same name and everything so I dunno.

EDIT: Just found out that it's a vinyl reissue. The bonus track is really good though so I would recommend checking the 2012 version out.

Yeah definitely do. It's pretty similar to Agalloch but not a clone as some report.

T/T is so fire I don't even care that they repeat that main riff like 50 times.
