and nobody say it's Angolan music combining traditional Kilapanga and Semba with Techno and House.

I googled Semba and the wikipedia article was mostly about its history and where it’s used culturally than instruments or patterning unfortunately

I didn't actually expect anyone to Google it on my behalf, but perhaps you were curious? Bless you either way

Ah, the actual Wadical Womantics weview thwead appeared! Nice one, CaptainAaaggghhh!
Your username though... is it to be read "Captain AAAGGGHH!!!", like a scream in pain, or "Aaarrggg", the commonly agreed-upon utterance made by all pirates?
Either answer still equals awesome.

It was supposed to be a shiver-me-timbres-piratey type of thing some 10+ years ago when I first joined this website
Thanks for the kind words, everyone

I wonder what the band line up will look like if she tours this. Will it be the same Plunge tour line up or an entirely different ensemble?

Well I got my tickets for March 30th, and while I have no idea who was touring when, I will at least be able to count the number of people on stage, if I manage to not get drunk too quickly

Oh! So tour is already announced! Will have to see if they are coming to me. Was fortunate to see them on Plunge tour juuuust before they cancelled the rest

Hopefully they’ll announce a second leg at some point and come closer to me, never seen the knife/Karin. Wow Pots that had to’ve been freaky, glad you were able to slip in at the [unknowable] 11th hour!

haven't checked this yet! where does it rank with st and plunge?

Glad I got to see The Knife on their farewell tour. It was... pretty unique (semi-mimed, vogue-y performance piece). Loved it personally, but I don't think it was universally adored, IIRC.
I've yet to see Fever Ray, but looking at their schedule, doubt I'll realistically get to do that this round.

IMO, third... but still pretty damn sweet.

If you didn’t adore the shaking the habitual tour performance you don’t deserve life. I’ve watched it about 9 times. It’s Fucking incredible.

Unless the farewell tour isn’t the same but I thought shaking the habitual tour was their last

^ It was... I saw them in London. I found this to give a vibe about some of the reaction: https://www.google.com/amp/s/consequence.net/2013/04/the-knifes-shaking-the-habitual-tour-is-misanthropic-challenging-and-artful/amp/

The person who wrote this excerpt must have been staring at their phone because they are not describing the same show I saw.

going to the first date of the tour next week! stoked
this is a really touching record, surprisingly, like a consistent summation of both the knife and fever ray albums, ending with the last three tracks in a mellow, contemplative mood. really not trying to jinkx it, but this would be a fitting conclusion to Karin's project, if it was meant as such.
stellar stuff, but agreed, '...ghost' is the weakest track here
