I think kurts a fairly mediocre vocalist. I don't think he really compares to Jonny when it comes to talent. However, Kurt is good enough and his fit with the new sound kinda makes up for it. Even though i wish Jonny was still in the band, i dont blame them for kicking him out. And Kurt's doing a fine job.

As for Jon Mess, hes out of the band indefinitely. Same for Eric Lodge, the old bassist. They both got fed up and left, he does not have "Lyme disease".

Him and Eric are also the ones who leaked the album, for the record.

ACTUALLY Jon Mess DOES have Lyme disease. It's in remission.
He also has sinusitis, and you have no proof that Jon and Eric leaked the album.
No one knows why Jon and Eric left the band. They left for their own reasons and don't feel like telling anyone.

Jonny Craig made DGD for me. Kurt's a decent singer but Jonny Craig he aint so I really dont like this as much as old DGD.

Finally got the lyrics to this:

1. Yes it is profane, but not as profane as I though.

2. Chino makes Caviar

3. Skyhook reminds me of coheed and cambria with the ahh's

4. Alex English/People You Know/Hot Water On Wool(Reprise)

so far have my fav. lyrics regardless of the profane stuff.

Still a 4 for me great cd even though this band is basicaly a cover band of themselfs now.

Shame on me?

It's a fitting song, for a fitting subject.

He apparently is very angry and is displaying it

very well with his subject matter.

He is calling that person out.

People you know is a pretty ok song that should be awesome. I'm sorry but he really does swear way to much in that song and its not really even called for. It just makes it sound kind of stupid to be honest.

swearing is something people do when their extremely pissed. jon mess is obviously pissed off. he uses swearing to get his point across more agressively, and he couldnt of done it better IMO. theres a lot of swearing in hip hop, but people still like it.

and btw, this isnt a church, nor is this a gospel cd by any means.

Great review but I think the guest appearance by the guy from Gatsby's American Dream sold me to the album. "Uneasy Hearts Weigh the Most" is one of the greatest songs I've heard in a long time.

Umm...tarik...there are times where I feel that swearing is somewhat called for but most of the time (especially in hip hop) swearing is kind of a cop out...like instead of trying to articulately and intelligently get a point across they just take the easy way out and drop the F bomb 15 times in one verse. I am also aware this isn't a gospel cd...that was a rather dumb statement...

And as for hip-hop, just because people like it doesn't mean its good. For example, there is a group of people that enjoy sex with animals...that doesn't make it something that is generally "good"...get what I'm saying? This Message Edited On 09.12.08

And the guy from Gatsby's American Dream did a great job. The song has grown on me since the review and I like it a lot, but I still believe that the songs with the guest appearances are weaker tracks, and not necessarily because of the guest vocalists, just because I feel they are weaker in general in comparison.
