i'm just gonna call it right now - on "yours truly," there's gonna be some b.s. dedication to brad song or at least a pretentious heart-felt portion of the cd booklet dedicated to him. and then everyone's gonna be like, "well rome's a great guy and clearly respects brad" etc. i know this is random, but when i heard rome singing about lou dog and getting kudos for performing the songs brad wrote the other day, it just sounded so wrong. this is equivalent to nirvana reuniting w/o cobain, or the beatles w/o lennon and mccartney. this new project may have 2/3 of sublime's members, but 0/1 of its songwriters. again, what a rant, but god do i hate the "reunion" of sublime.

how is any of that incorrect? or are you just gonna go on another one of your bashing sessions w/ no legitimate points? cuz nothing of what i said is wrong. it is the same exact thing as a cobain-less nirvana reunion, cuz cobain was the sole songwriter in the band who died. this is actually the exact same thing you fucking retard.

in the sense that they were the band's songwriters (barring about 2% of their material being written from harrison).

holy fuck, obviously i don't mean in terms of style or genre. i'm talking that nirvana had 3 members - a drummer, a bassist, and a singer/guitarist who wrote the songs both musically and lyrically. sublime had the exact same setup. i'm saying that a nirvana reunion would be just as absurd because the remaining members weren't creative forces in the band, just as gaugh and wilson weren't in sublime. granted, wilson's basslines were important to sublime's sound, as grohl's drumming was important to nirvana's, but cobain and nowell were the only SONGWRITERS in their respected bands. therefore, a reunion w/o the band's only songwriter in either case would be bullshit. so yea you do need legitimate points, otherwise you're just spewing shit w/o no substance whatsoever.

Actually, Grohl wrote a lot of the music after Nevermind for Nirvana. Please, once again, check your facts the next time you want to spew out more inane bullshit.

no he didn't, you fucking idiot. he assisted on writing less than 5 songs on their complete official discography, and was in no way a major songwriting factor in the band.

yea on wikipedia it also says that dr. dre didn't write shit for 2001, and guess where else it says

that? in the official booklet and on his website. also, i'll openly admit that i only physically own

nirvana's greatest hits, but guess how many of those songs are credited to the other band members in

the booklet - fucking none of them. and what do you mean "post-nevermind?" that's like 1 album, and

none of that shit was written solely by grohl. either way, you're just trying to get away from my

original point that sublime w/ rome is a bullshit non-reuinion. i likened it to nirvana because it's

an appropriate comparison, but that's not even the main point i'm getting at.

Sublimefan, I understand what you're saying. I haven't heard anything from them with Rome- is his style similar to Brad's?

finally someone gets it. but yea i mean he sounds enough like brad and has a really good voice, but it just pisses me off that he just walked into all this fame and being able to play at huge venues when brad himself never did.

okay, i don't give 2 shits how many ep's they released. guarantee if anyone asked you on a random day

who the creative force behind nirvana was, you'd say kurt cobain. cuz he fucking was, not dave or

krist.
