Everything on disc two is killer. That part in the first three minutes of Stay Out Here where they loop that same vocal bit and it gets deeper and deeper is one of my favorite moments of the album even though it's so subtle.

You know for all of the buzz this had at release, you would think more people would have placed it on their best of 13 lists.

It's certainly strange. Some records do happen to become more of an "appreciated work" than thoroughly enjoyable pieces. For STH, though, the latter seems to be the case with lots of folks. A pleasant surprise to me, as I was completely weirded out at first listen, but I suppose once yeezy, VW and Arcade Fire make such ludicrous hype the earlier releases this year get pretty overshadowed - particularly the obscure ones.

This album is cracked the fuck out...it reminds of some trainspotting type of lifestyle. About people caught up in some degenerative subculture, addicted to drugs and trying to figure if they prefer being a sissy bottom or bareback top.

Shaking makes me feel uncomfortable... in such a gritty, dried blood, type of way. It reminds of me of the character Septimus Smith, who just goes off the fucking deep end to try and find the truth about societies inequalities.

...But w the Knife, their truth isnt so much something we dont already know. They are deranged fucks, due or not due to society. While this album is pretty mesmerizing.. its downright corrupt and feminist. and maybe too feminist for my tastes...
