This album sounds way too pretentious.
If we stripped out most of everything but the guitar harmonies and and put the screams much lower into the mix, the album would be decent.
There's just too much fluff going on that isn't needed, like the clean singing and symphonic parts. The bass is surprisingly interesting on occasion, but is pretty dull in many places when it could add more than just playing along with one of the guitars.
I do miss Demon Carcass. His screams were always great.
