Enjoyed this one quite a lot. Gives me similar vibes to Weightless at times, and also some tracks from JoM (Woven Web in particular comes to mind). I can't speak to the technical side of it, because I know jack about that kind of thing. But it feels surgically concise, with well structured songs--nothing on it lost my attention, which is always a risk for instrumentals, as much as I like them. Every song had something that kept me rapt. Also felt very cohesive without being repetitive, which is also a risk for instrumental albums.

I think what kept me away initially was the lack of melody as presented in the previous released singles, since at this point in my musical journey, pure technicality alone doesn't do much for me.

"Conflict Cartography" has a lot of that TJoM melodic playfulness though, so I'll give the album a chance.

Anyone listen to that new Wide Eyes though?

Not sure exactly why.... but this one didn't rock my world.

Maybe a bit less accessible than their last offering, and also just so short...

Great songs throughout but yeah as an album just doesn't feel like a slam dunk.

This completely went under my radar but tbh I haven't enjoyed these guys since weightless. Is it any good?

Seeing these guys tonight. Not a *massive* fan, but I do like them well enough. Good opportunity to see some insanely talented musos playing their instruments.

Maybe I'll be so impressed I'll go through an AAL phase. That would be nice

They were pretty sick. I was expecting to see some S-tier musicianship and I got it. Awesome stuff

Super hyped crowd, too. Was pretty funny to see people singing along to instrumental music

Like I listen to this and I'm like "cool, Tosin is a talented guitarist...but I don't FEEL anything from it." it's like the Polyphia problem.
