For those not in the know of Australian political parties.
The Australian Liberal party is actually more akin to a conservative party or the Republicans, leaning right of centre.
The Young Libs, as referred to in the song are often middle to upper class white male university students, who's parents and grandparents have voted for the Liberal party all their lives. They have aligned themselves in this rich White boy culture, the whole time holding on to their families conservative traditions.
