I would describe her vocal delivery as "slackass", basically meaning delivered without much effort or intention. I would not say that about Lenker Quinlan or Menne. There's some overlap in their Inflections and overall style though so I get all the comparisons.
Something about that delivery combined with the observational and generally straightforward nature of the lyrics doesn't sit well with me, but I'm obviously in the minority.

Colton thx for motivating me to actually get Great Grandpa's albums and give em a full listen! Been meaning to for like a year now. They def deserve more than just a "hey cool who's this" when they pop up on a spotify station.

Coming back to this and I'm p sure Chosen to Deserve is the worst song, and not even for country reasons (style works a treat in the verses). Just really turgid songwriting - chorus is limp as seaweed and the main riff wears out quickly and is repeated to hell. Would have been fine with a few minutes shaved off but damn, the album's momentum really hits a wall on that one
All the other not-great songs are excusable or unobtrusive, so it's a shame

Chosen to deserve at least gets my brain going a bit ruminating on that phrase and trying to extrapolate some meaning from it. I'm just going to throw it out there and say I really don't like bull believer much. Not that anyone cares most around here most seem to love this. I'm happy for you.

I think the lyrics have a couple bright spots, but mostly just feel like they could be on a bunch of other albums by other bands and aren’t particularly special. Like, they’re not bad, but they’re kind of just there in a “shower thoughts that i half forgot” kind of way
