Not sure what RustCohle is talking about. Their vocalist has a very strong growl and is one of my favorite in death metal.

Their vocalist has a good growl, yes, but he lacks dynamics and range in his screams. If he changed pitch frequently he would sound much better. I really like his voice but I am in agreement with others about his lack of variance.

I wish he would change it up a little more as well. That said, he's one of my favorite growlers. I find his voice much more tolerable over long listening periods than say, the vocalist from Fallujah. I would rank him close to Niilo from Insomnium as far as my own enjoyment goes.

Because he basically imitates Niilo but its not a bad thing and the growls suit the music far better than screams ever would

Honestly, so far I don't think this holds a candle to "Of Breath and Bone" but it's still pretty good.

Well thank god for that

This is good, even though is another melodic album with only DM growls.
At least it has soul, something that the -zillion mdeath albums out there don't have.

I know this is a cut above the rest but thats a pretty big assumption to make without listening to the zillions of other melodeath albums

This really surprised me in all honesty. To be frank, I'm really impressed with band's decisions here. This especially goes for how cohesive the album is without taking any shortcuts to pad it out. While Stone's Reach may still be their best in my eyes, this probably has the band's melodies' at the current peak.

The production really kills this for me tbh

You're kidding me right
This record is produced wonderfully. Even despite the unorthodox rhythm guitar tone snare tone, the imaging and instrumental scale is phenomenal. You seldom ever get a melodeath record that sounds this grand and actually justified of that classification.
