Doug is anything but a generic singer and/or lyricist. He just doesn't really fit the sound of this band. It kind of surprised me they picked him as their new singer when they did. Does anyone know what happened to Marco Lira?

It's not that he doesn't fit their sound, it's just that his performance is nowhere as good as it was in The Sleeping's heavier songs. There's a strong lack of memorable melodies and hooks in at least half of the album.

No this isnt his best performance but he's still an above average vocalist in my book.
