sometimes disco flight on max volume is necessary to experience a little elation

I can never remember these song titles. The opening run is mostly v strong but Akai Yuuwaku is hitting right now. Better use of slightly slower tempo than I recall at times also.

I go back and forth on which I prefer, that one may be more consistent. It certainly seems more ugh… ‘mature’

Hmm, no this is the one. I love the balance / flow of this album. Those injections of energy and hooks always seem to appear in just the right moment. Surprisingly versatile set of ideas, technical chops and depth here too. Especially considering the consonance they pummel you with at times. Well balanced. It took me a while to digest the vox, but certainly wouldn't have them any other way now. The occasional shrieked screams are honestly quite chilling.
Essential. 4.5.

shit yes lfg
what was the rationale for this over jAm? probably jam this record slightly more nowadays, if only because the first three tracks are some of their most fun to play

my rationale was simply F U N honestly, the energy is infectious and despite the blistering rate at which they churn out bops, the balance feels just right for me
I do very much enjoy jAm also and perhaps the subtle(r) song-writing chops will benefit from time to a greater extent, but right now this is essential in a 'irreplaceable' sense whereas I could conjure up alternatives more easily for jAm, perhaps (hmm, now have to actually think of some, lol)

Keep bumping their other albums and we are talkin', but yes this is still incredible.
