Also, saw these guys live on Monday and they were initially a little underwhelming - static performance with saxophone backing tracks which was disappointing. However, they did grow into their set and the latter half was pretty good.
Probably didn't help being on after Ingested, who carried great energy and crowd interaction.

I realize no one cares, but this album was such a moment in 2021... Sequencing issues aside, they will never top this. It was such a risky and left-field direction to take (especially since it basically pissed everyone off) but it was like lightning in a bottle. Such a weird album but it really captures a unique mood and I love the motif of an artist struggling with their art and their audience's relationship to it. It's a really strong concept. I would have loved a proper follow-up to this, but sadly such is life...

yeah, there's no world where you can convince me One More Day or MORE? aren't fucking genius. I'm totally happy to die alone on this hill as long as I die jamming this album. I think people's perspective is warped because everyone just wanted Owls Pt 2 but they pulled an Opeth and alienated most of their audience

Not sure I agree with that (I think it's pretty apples to apples) but I will concede MORE? is legitimately a great track. I just wish the whole album was even close to that.

The saxaphone backing track should just be cut from the live shows. Its just very awkward and lame. Also when I saw them it was kind of high in the mix so it wasnt even a background subtle backing track, which meant it took away from the actual live muscians. They where just fine live but playing after The Ocean who had incredible energy and then NeO headlining didnt help their case from being the lamest of the night.
