Agreed about vocals being excellent and a frequent detractor from this kind of music. The fact you can make out what he says while he's doing it with such force is remarkable.

yeah the vocals are incredible. Brendan seriously sounds almost the same pitch as Akerfeldt sometimes and I'm super high on that

"porcupine theater" I lol'd

fordy was just fooled by the user me thinks. either that or he intentionally brutally insulted PPT in which case I shall hope you have an unpleasant day mister

Can't hear Akerfeldt in the vocals, I can however hear his influence in some instrumental parts like the intro to Inner Oceans

Opening to Inner Oceans makes me want to sing "Everything's a novelty, everyone grows but me"...

what's odd is that I SWEAR that Grievous HAD the PT track on it's track list on bandcamp but it is no longer there. Maybe PT doesn't like one guy making their music better than they can

appears that the cover was of the PT track 'No Dreaming' on Grievous

yeah, found it on yt, it's even mistitled for some reason, the song name is The Sleep of No Dreaming.

lol dude take a chill pill, but if you really want me to engage on the subject, the covers are nice but they're not close to being as good as the originals.

comparing cover versions to originals is not a very fair thing to do in general. I've yet to hear more than like 3 covers I like better than the original. the point of a cover never was to make the song better anyway

Trusting Smok on good music is like trusting Kim Jong Un with a masive load of explosives.
