It’s a stunning record with an authenticity you can literally feel through the rawness of its sound, the heart emotion and storytelling. Lenker and Big Thief too are a force to be reckoned wit, such incredible music all around.

Yes. This is (at least) the fifth album featuring Lenker's vocals in the last 5 years and honestly I'm a little over her vocal style and delivery when it is so isolated like that. Sadness as a Gift got me back on track though.
Heaps of great songs on the album. Just don't like the opener...
Bill Ryder-Jones fights off another challenger and remains the standard this year so far.

A rare occurrence where the opening track almost turned me off entirely to this record but then the follow up tracks were so good that I was hooked. Wish that first track wasn't there honestly.
