I saw them once before with Counterparts and Dying Wish and they were by far the sloppiest band on the bill, but kind of in an endearing way. Everyone else was playing to click tracks and then SYSC just sent it like true DIY hardcore kids. It was awesome.

this owns. Lubricant like Kerosene reminds me a lot of Mouth Like a Magazine by Showbread hmm

Coup de grace is one of my favorite things to mispronounce by just saying it how it's spelled

Yeah I think I'm done with this one. The novelty wore off after the first listen and Connie is just aggravating to listen to on this one. Too much sass-vocal spam.

They really brought their A game for Romance. This feels more influenced by If I Die First who I like more than this, but the scenecore vibes don't work as well here. I guess Romance was such a perfect representation of the specific sound they'd been working toward that they were kind of forced to change it up again.

I think the Songs for the Firing Squad collection is actually their second best LP (even though it's a collection) after Romance, and I would also put The Correlation Between Entrance and Exit Wounds above this one, which has aged pretty well for me.
