sorry, I think what I said came off wrong. You're totally right that the same exact thing happened to SYSC I think. Just annoying that the pressure of scene politics will have people washing their hands clean and acting like they were never in the same position.

Never heard anything from this band but I don't like them cus their name is clearly trying to mirror the random, rapid internet fame that Job For A Cowboy received back in the MySpace era.

That's false, bromie. Their name is taken straight from Cowboy Bebop.

Just finished my first listen through of this album and I definitely think it's the one I like the most. Still not huge on Connie's whines but they're way dialed back here so it's super appreciated. I think the two best songs are the danciest ones, being Lubricant Like Kerosene and Rhythm and Rapture.
This one feels the most mallcore of all their stuff but that's not a bad thing, granted I think it does make a couple songs feel a little weaker. The super obvious Panic! influence in the chorus of Sister With a Gun was amusing too.
Also, if you all want the quintessential sasscore song, listen (and watch the music video) to Mouth Like a Magazine by Showbread. Sassiest shit to ever exist.

I love that Lubricant Like Kerosene seems to be a favourite song for a lot of people as that is one of their most left field songs on the album imo, and it took the longest to grow on me, but now I friggin love it.

finally hitting this. ive never been able to get into them prior but i dug it
still dont think the sass vocals will ever be my thing tbh but the rest of this is a fun enough high school throwback. hooks are extremely pop punk which i like lol. kinda reminds me of some senses fail sometimes

this is the first album of theirs that i thoroughly enjoy, shits great, also the cleans in Lubricant like Kerosene remind me of becoming the bull by atreyu for some reason lmao

lol ya Chewing The Scenery is a huge climax for me. I annoyed the shit out of my gf the other day by singing the beginning lines of that song over and over but putting like a crazy exhale emphasis on the P’s
