Doctrines is focuses on disjointed structures, indie-pop to noise rock instruments, and ridiculous ideas (mostly in its lyrics). The opening track is a catchy noise-pop tune featuring disillusioned and seemingly apocalyptic lyrics and screams. Part III begins as a more standard track with a very brief sample of Big Yellow Taxi that's carried with a repeating indie rock based riff before leading into a gang vocal outro.
