3.8 excellent | manosg EMERITUS | August 17th 17 | A solid successor to Death or Glory, Blazon Stone is a slightly slowed down affair compared to previous releases, probably in an attempt to appeal to a wider audience. This along with the smooth production makes the album lose some edge but it contains quality power/speed metal with an emphasis on catchy riffs and memorable choruses. Overall, Blazon Stone does not include the level of songwriting of Port Royal or the ambitious scope of Black Hand Inn but is released right in the middle of Running Wild's golden era which makes it a definite success and a very enjoyable listen.
