Review Summary: They like it loud.

Cash Cash is a dance pop group that is not that well acclaimed. The group is probably most known for their smash single "Party in Your Bedroom" off of their only major label release Take It To the Floor. Despite developing a decent sized following they were subsequently dismissed from Universal Republic records due to low commercial recognition. Three years later the three piece then released Love or Lust on Digital Heartbeat Music. After poor sales they were also dropped from that label in the U.S.. They have garnered quite the following in Japan and the Netherlands, and were signed to Spinnin' Records for overseas pressing. Their newest EP, in the U.S., is self released by the group. The Beat Goes On is an entirely new direction for the group who were once emo-pop (new generation), 80's knock-offs. They now have become dance floor kings on this self produced extended play. These songs are catchy as a bottle of glue to construction paper, to say the least.

In the past the young New Jersey trio relied on synthesizers, and cheesy guitar riffs to create uninspired rhythms. Combine that with auto-tuned vocals and you have the music I grew up with (sadly). This time around the beats are all computerized with a dance electronic sonic vibe to it. The best way to compare it is if Pitbull's beats, seamlessly combined with Cobra Starship's new auto-tune loving vocal execution. "Still Got It" has a catchy dance hook that pokes fun at pop culture, and their past selves. It's a bass heavy romp, with a imitable hook, but it is never the less enjoyable. "Michael Jackson (Beat Goes On)" is a dubstep inspired spin dedicated to king of pop himself. Whether Cash Cash are the ones to do this is up to the interpretation of the listener. However, it's catchy as hell and is perfect for the windows down to seem cool around your best friends. "I Like It Loud" sounds similar to their past works up until the verses begin, then it pretty much blends in with the rest of this release.

This won't be for most people. Hell probably for a small percentage of people. The group's self-indulgence heavy lyrics, and unoriginal computerized rhythms are all but surprising. However, for someone looking for a short lived burst of catchy dance pop nonsense, along with the perfect "windows down" type of music, this is for you. You may be surprised many times you will listen to this beginning to end. Cash Cash has gone from a band that wanted to be taken seriously, to a band that warrants attention by being just like everyone else in the mainstream. But, these results are simply infectious all the same.

Dance all night, lose your mind.
